I ran cross country all through high school, and I can tell you running wasn’t nearly as cool then as it is now. These shoots are a good test of creating an environment where athletes and models can feel natural, like no crew is there, while still capturing the footwear in its best light.

Chevrolet: Nuestro Lente, Nuestra Tierra

Client: Chevrolet, Remezcla
Agency: Dentsu
Publisher: Remezcla
Production: Topspin Studios
Director: Javier Fernandez

Still Photography, Motion, Production, Post-Production

We partnered with Remezcla and Chevrolet to produce two :60 branded editorial spots for the 2026 Silverado, handling both production and post on a tight two-and-a-half week timeline.

This was our third automotive project with Remezcla, so there was already a level of trust that let us move quickly without overanalyzing everything.

The concept, “Nuestro Lente, Nuestra Tierra,” followed two photographers working along the Texas coast. We leaned on relationships we’ve built over time, from Coastal Prairie Conservancy to a private ranch outside Houston, which gave us incredible location access with minimal red tape.

We kept the approach simple. Bring the right tools, keep a small footprint, and stay flexible. For driving shots, we skipped the traditional car rig and brought our FPV drone friends in from BetoFPV. It let us move faster and get into places we otherwise couldn’t.

The final pieces feel grounded in the landscape and true to the subjects, while still doing what they needed to do for Chevy.

Tommy Paul for New Balance Tennis

Client: New Balance
Agency: In-house
Production: Topspin Studios

Still Photography, Motion, Production, Creative, Post-Production

New Balance brought us in to create stills for the launch of the 996v5 tennis shoe with American tennis player Tommy Paul, with a loose plan to grab motion if timing allowed.

The offseason window was tight, so we met Tommy near his place in Delray Beach and kept everything as simple as possible. We sourced a pristine hard court and a hitting partner who could handle Tommy’s world class ball. We initially planned a full lighting setup, but scrapped it almost immediately once we saw how good the natural light was. Thank you Florida.

From there, it was just about paying attention. Tommy was generous with his time, but we didn’t want to pull him too far out of his routine, so we worked quickly and let things happen instead of forcing them.

We ended up carving out enough time to shoot a motion piece alongside the stills, which turned into one of the better-performing assets for New Balance Tennis and an internal favorite.

The work itself is pretty straightforward. Good light, clean environment, and a subject who knows exactly what he’s doing.

DENVER

I’m a tennis junkie at heart, but earlier this year ESPN commissioned me to shoot my first NFL game as the Denver Broncos took on the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Divisional Playoff. My assignment was to focus on head coach Sean Payton and the intensity and focus he brings to the sideline. I had photographed running back Christian McCaffrey years prior, but this was a different experience entirely, seeing that level of speed and physicality up close in a playoff environment.

GARMIN: TREAD 2

Client: Garmin
Agency: In-house
Production: Topspin Studios
Director: Javier Fernandez
Still Photography, Motion, Production

Garmin brought us in for the Tread 2 launch, covering snowmobiling, overlanding, and rally bikes across two shoots.

We split the production early to stay flexible, starting with snowmobiling since it was the most weather-dependent. Crested Butte, Colorado was one of the few places still holding snow in April, and with help from Eleven Experiences, we were able to move the client and production team through the backcountry safely and efficiently using a snowcat.

As always, we kept the same general approach. Stay light, stay mobile, keep people safe, and be ready when things line up.

For the snowmobiling, we brought in FPV pilot Christian Ojala to capture high-speed footage on a RED Komodo. It gave Garmin the energy they were after without adding unnecessary complexity.

The second shoot took us to the Eastern Sierras for overlanding and rally bikes. Locations like Alabama Hills and the Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes did a lot of heavy lifting visually, and shooting on BLM land kept things simple and fast.

Everything ran smoothly, the brief was clear, and we had a few unexpected moments like a full moonrise at wrap that reminded us why we do this in the first place.

PALM SPRINGS, LAS VEGAS, CHICAGO, MIAMI

These shoots are always test my ability to keep the whole “fan boy” thing in check. My love for the game of tennis is borderline unhealthy, so getting the opportunity to shoot the shit and make photographs with with some of the top athletes in the sport has been a real career highlight for me.
